We took our “final lap” today at the Indiana Convention Center and hope you’ve enjoyed your time with us, because we’ve loved coming together with you to form connections in Indy.
Through your help – the steps everyone took and entered this week plus those who donated – Jack Henry was able to award the Special Olympics $10,000 today!
With the checkered flag in sight, this morning we heard a timely closing keynote from author and speaker Cassandra Worthy on Mastering the Chemistry of Change. Jack Henry leaders were also joined by representatives from Google, Mastercard, and Alloy on the main stage to discuss Modernization at Jack Henry: The Future of Loan and Deposit Origination.
“I’ve been coming for 10 years now. I always learn something new, and I always meet someone new to pick their brain for knowledge or connections.” - Alicia Johansen, Core Support Supervisor, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust
“My goodness, we’ve been together for days now. This is just feeling like family.” - Mark Jeffries, emcee
“I am a firm believer that resilience is not anything that we’re born with. It has to get ripped and stretched and torn to get built up over time. And we do that through the practice of experiencing change.” - Cassandra Worthy
“The best low-hanging-fruit item you can address once you return home is to get your data house in order. Identify the 13 to 35% of your retail checking account base that is actually camouflaged micro and small businesses. Put into place what they need to collect payments and bring those into your bank or credit union. Right now, you’re only getting one out of every eight dollars collected by those camouflaged micro and small businesses that are using third-party apps to collect payments. If you’re serious about deposits, that’s a surefire way to address that short-term.” - Lee Wetherington, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, Jack Henry
“In that moment when the easy choice is just to disengage – when the easy choice is to just keep doing things the way you’ve always done them – what will you choose? Bitter? Or better?” - Cassandra Worthy
You won’t want to miss tonight’s opportunity to “kiss the bricks” at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway before you head home! We have an Indy 500-worthy final celebration in store for everyone this evening.
