Day 2 of Jack Henry™ Connect is officially underway, and we’re still buzzing from yesterday’s Welcome Reception at Bayfront Park!
It was the perfect way to kick off the conference, with amazing food and drinks, and a great way for attendees to network and connect with one another. The reception was a true testament to the power of our community, and it was so great to see everyone together and excited for the week ahead.
And how about those opening Main Stage sessions featuring key insights from Greg Adelson, Mark Jeffries, Kate O’Neill, and more?
“Welcome to the largest family reunion anywhere. We are excited to share a lot of really cool things that we have been working on for the last year.”
- Greg Adelson, President and CEO, Jack Henry
“I love my Jack Henry events. This is my third year.”
- Mark Jeffries, emcee
“Meaning is about what matters. Innovation is about what is going to matter.”
- Kate O’Neill, keynote speaker
“I’m excited about our SMB strategy and what we’re going to be able to show you on the merchant acquiring side and the ability to move funds between external bank accounts. There isn’t anybody doing it, and the way we are doing it is much different. I think this is going to be a way for you to win more daily deposits – to be able to pull those deposits back out of the Stripes and the Squares and others that are now infiltrating and taking those deposits away from you.”
- Greg Adelson
“It’s not really about the future being so much uncertain, as it is undecided. With the right kind of vision and the right kind of clarity and the right kind of commitment and the right level of decision-making, we can actually change the future as we know it.”
- Kate O’Neill
Tuesday’s sessions have been all about diving deep into what’s next for the financial services industry.
The morning started with a Main Stage presentation from Jack Henry’s CTO, Ben Metz, who shared an update on the innovations his team’s been working on, including Tap2Local. The energy was contagious, and it’s clear that we’re all committed to do what it takes to build a better future for community banks and credit unions as well as your accountholders.
“We want community financial institutions to compete and win. In my job as Chief Technology Officer, I focus a lot on what is happening technically to disrupt you. And if it’s disruptive to you, that means it’s disruptive to us. Because we have a shared fate model with you. We don’t have a Plan B. It’s either community financial institutions in the U.S. are able to compete and win – and we help you do that – or we lose.”
- Ben Metz
The Tech Hall also officially opened today, and it is a must-see for anyone interested in the latest fintech solutions. You can visit best-in-the-industry fintech exhibitors, check out the live and interactive builds at the LEGO® Station, or play the Dive In and Discover Game Card for a chance to win prizes. We’re also excited to announce the new Wellness Lounge, which offers a space with massage chairs and refreshments to give your mind and muscles a break.
The Tech Hall Reception is tonight from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – so get ready for additional networking.
Tomorrow, we’ll have more great sessions, networking opportunities, and updates on the live LEGO® build.
